Out of all the activities I've joined here in IIUM, this would probably to as one of the best one I've participated in. Out of all the committees and groups I've been in before, I've never really felt like I could regard all of the members as a part of my family. True, I was close with some of the other groups - but it's safe to say that this team is the only one that I felt connected with EVERYONE.

So thank you for giving me that awesome experience, TEAM HIDAYAH!

You know, when I first started CFS here, I’ve always wanted to join in different societies – but I just didn’t know which to pick. And I didn’t know how to either. I was a third intake kid from the 2014/2015 batch, so I was pretty much alone here in Gombak with the rest of the third intakes (there were 4 of us…yes, FOUR). Sad right? But now, after all those times I said that I was going to update you guys and I didn’t (yea, I’m not very good at blogging)…I’m finally graduating from CFS! Alhamdulillah, after one full year huhu.

I still remembered how bummed out I was after knowing that I was stuck here for one and a half years at the start – but I had made up my mind to finish in one year and I did it! I exited Arabic from Level 1 even when I found it pretty much super duper hard compared to other languages I’ve studied before. But enough about this haha. Moving swiftly forward, I wasn’t able to join any of the CFS societies since I was pretty much late in knowing everything – so I decided to join in some degree ones.

The first program I was part of was the “International Muslimah Forum” organized by WAMY. Afterwards, I joined in STUFF, and I attended their night trainings. And soon afterwards, I joined in Caring Club. Most of the programs I’ve joined in would probably be from this club – and no matter how stressful or tiring it can get, I still don’t regret it one bit at all. To me, whatever clubs or programs you decide to join in, just go for it, you’ll find out stuff about yourself that you wouldn’t even notice before! In my case, my confidence certainly took a giant leap – not just in speaking out in front of others, but almost in everything that I do. If I push myself, I can do whatever I want. That for me is invaluable.

Talking about Caring Club activities, the most recent one I’ve joined in would be the “OUTREACH JARING 3.0 - Revisiting the Blessed Ones”. I joined in this program after being asked by one of the sisters I had gotten close to in one of the other programs – and after a slight hesitation (due to timing), I accepted my role wholeheartedly. Can you guess what my job was? I was a Secretary hahaha which meant that I had to write loads and do loads of note taking before and after the program. However, during the program I was more of a lone ranger, I think I did a bit of everything haha (le sigh).

So instead of writing a new account of the events that occurred, I’ll let you guys see an excerpt from the report I wrote for it – because you guys are special.  Apparently, someone said that my report was one of the best few (aw, shucks) so you could say that I’m pretty well chuffed for my very first taste at report writing. The excerpt can be found in the next post.
